I am not from a farmer family but I have loved gardening. From my childhood I had decided to have a small piece of farm where I can grow my own food. But I could buy a small plot of about 3 gunthas that too NA plot. I have spent 75 to 80% of my free time in gardening. Last 5 to 7 years the growth around my residential plot is too much and the surrounding buildings have blocked my sun light. It has reduced my gardening work. I am thirsty for that. Now I have bought about 12 gunthas farm land. I wish to cultivate simple herbs there. I don’t have any knowledge. I would like if “Agrowon” helps me out. I am regular reader of “Agrowon for last 4 to 5 months. I have taken groundnut crop during June-Sept 2010. Agrowon has helped me wright from the begining for the task. Thanks Agrowon.

    Dear Sir,
These days turmeric is emerging as a very assured new cash crop in the Maharashtra. I have worked about 10years on tuemeric processing and designing machinery for farmers at Marathwada Agril. University,Parbhani.

Now I am working in the MPKV,Rahuri since 2009.
I have delevered hundreds of lectures for farmers of Maharashtra on Krishi Prakriyetun Gram Samruddhi.Given Radio Talks, and TV Talks and tried to transfer the technology to the farmers.

Sir,I have designed the machinery for Steam cooking of turmeric which retains the medicinal properties (i.e. Curcumin). It fetches higher market price and farmers get more economic returns. The research paper written on this concept is accepted for oral presentation in the International Conference on Environment and Agricultural Engineering-ICEAE-2011, to be held during 29 to 31st July2011, in Chengdu city of China.
The expenditure required for this will be as below
    1) Registration Fees Rs.——– 22,000/-(420 US $)
    2) Air Fair(To and fro)Rs.—–60,000/-/-(1200 US $)
    3) Other Expenditure Rs.——50,000/-/-(1000 US $)
This research is helpful to the Farmers, Entrepreneurs and Industrialists.

Therefore it is requested to sponsor the expenditure (Either whole or partial) required for attending the above mentioned International Conference.
    Thanking you.
